Overturning Canada: Kevin Annett announces his Republican candidacy in federal election

July 23, 2019

Ottawa and Winnipeg

The man who exposed Canada’s domestic genocide and helped prosecute high officials of Church and State has declared his candidacy in the upcoming Canadian federal election.

Kevin Annett, a seasoned political activist and a founding member of the pro-independence Republican Party of Kanata, announced his candidacy today after meeting with allies and advisers. But Annett’s campaign will be like that of no other candidate.

“We do not recognize the legitimacy or the authority of the so-called Crown of England and its puppet government in Ottawa” declared Annett today.

“Our aim is to establish a new Constitutional authority in Canada under the jurisdiction of a democratic Republic. If elected I will refuse to take the Oath of Allegiance to Queen Elizabeth and will move for an immediate national referendum to establish a sovereign Republic. I call upon every elected Member of Parliament to refuse the oath to the Crown.”

A national poll conducted in the spring of 2014 found that 58% of Canadians desire an end to all ties with the British monarchy, and are in favor of a Republic. The Republican Party of Kanata was established in Winnipeg on January 15, 2015 to act on that majority mandate and establish a sovereign Republic across Canada based on common law and direct democracy. The Party will be fielding candidates in other ridings besides North Winnipeg.

Kevin Annett is a native of Winnipeg and a seventh generation Canadian of mixed Scots-Irish and Metis ancestry. A former United Church clergyman who was fired without cause or due process after exposing the deaths of children in Indian residential schools, Annett has a special bond with the people of North Winnipeg.

“I’ve seen and lived inner city poverty in Winnipeg and I know the effects of ongoing genocide on all of us” said Annett. “The vast wealth of Canada needs to be placed in the hands of all of the people. Our Party wants a Constitutional prohibition on all corporate foreign ownership of the economy and a guaranteed annual income for every Canadian.”

In keeping with his party’s plan for direct democracy, Annett has already commenced his campaign in Winnipeg by helping to launch a local Neighborhood Peoples’ Assembly in which local issues can be debated and laws passed by the people themselves. This movement and Kevin Annett’s campaign speeches and events will be reported every Sunday at 3 pm pacific time, 6 pm eastern on Here We Stand, at www.bbsradio.com/herewestand .

A description of the Program of the Republican Party of Kanata and an official statement and biography of Kevin Anntt is appended. Kevin may be contacted at this email or at thecommonland@gmail.com . See also www.murderbydecree.com .

Media Statement of Kevin D. Annett:  Candidate for the Republican Party of Kanata in the Federal Constituency of Winnipeg North Tuesday July 23, 2019

This morning I am officially declaring myself as a candidate in the upcoming Canadian federal election within the constituency of Winnipeg North. I do so as a representative of the Republican Party of Kanata and will actively campaign under that Party’s banner and program.

It is time for Canada to come of age. For too long we have labored under the burden of foreign control and indebtedness, and of the murderous legacy of colonialism and genocide. Four million of our people, and one million children, languish in inter generational poverty while the vast wealth of our nation is sucked away by foreign multinationals.

As long experience has proven, there is no remedy for this suffering within the present political system in Canada. For the federal government and its courts are an unaccountable clique owing their allegiance to a foreign power called the Crown of England, and to its corporate partners in crime.

There can be no remedy or future for our nation as long as we are denied a truly representative democracy: a sovereign Republic in which the people can govern themselves and reclaim the vast wealth of our nation for all of its people. Our Republican government will do so by enacting a constitutional provision that prohibits foreign or domestic multinational corporate control of the Canadian economy, and by establishing a guaranteed national income for every Canadian.

I am running on a campaign to begin that process of securing sovereignty, prosperity and independence for the people of Canada. We do not recognize the authority or the legitimacy of the Crown of England and its corrupt puppet government in Ottawa. Our aim is to establish a new Constitutional authority in Canada under the jurisdiction of a democratic Republic.

Accordingly, if elected I will refuse to take the Oath of Allegiance to Queen Elizabeth and will move for an immediate national referendum to establish a fully sovereign Republic. I call upon every elected Member of Parliament to take a similar stand and refuse the oath to the Crown.

Our Party is the tip of a spear held in the hands of the people of Canada, who in their majority favor the establishment of a Republic in their land. Only such a Republic can wipe away the bloodstain of genocide and colonialism and unite indigenous and non-indigenous people in a federation of equal nations. Only such a Republic can bring about a genuine equality and partnership between French and English Canada. Such was the dream of our rebel ancestors who in 1837 and 1885 fought unsuccessfully to overthrow the British Crown and create a true democracy in Canada.

Those ancestors have passed on to us the torch of our common dream. Those ancestors, and every victim of genocide and empire, look to us now to complete and to achieve that vision: a vision symbolized in the flag of our new Republic, which depicts the three founding nations – indigenous, English and French – and the original Two Row Wampum Treaty of Equality by which the land was to be shared by all.

Our new society will not be the creation of a few professional politicians but of we the people, gathered in sovereign assemblies in our neighborhoods. The Republic of Kanata will be a grassroots democracy based upon the right of the people to debate, pass and enforce laws for themselves in their own communities.

We are beginning that revolution today in many towns and hamlets across our nation. The upcoming election campaign will be a platform from which we can share that vision with all Canadians, but our movement will continue long after the election and will not be dependent on its outcome. For our purpose is nothing less than the disestablishment of the old regime called the Dominion of Canada and its replacement with a sovereign Republic.

We have commenced that movement by calling on all of the legal agents of the Crown of England to stand down from their oaths of allegiance to Queen Elizabeth and her regime. That includes the RCMP, the police, civil servants, judges, the military and every officer of the state.

We call upon those men and women to recognize that the Crown of England, like the Vatican, is a criminally convicted genocidal regime that under international law has lost its right to govern. For the sake of the law itself, for morality, and for justice, the legal agents of Canada and the crown must now take an oath to the new Republic and to its Constitution that will be established by we the people at our first Constitutional Congress. In this way, like in any genuine revolution, we are creating our new Republic alongside the old regime, armed with our own common law courts, citizen militias and local peoples assemblies.

Some may call this treason. In fact, it is the present regime in Canada that is treasonous to the people by serving a foreign criminal regime that is guilty of centuries of mass murder, fraud and theft. Our Republican movement represents a return to the rule of law, to true democracy, and to the will of the majority of Canadians.

I ask for the help and the participation of all Canadians in this sacred, historic movement. I especially appeal to the people of north Winnipeg to join me in making the first public declaration for liberty in Canada. I grew up on Winnipeg’s streets and I know firsthand the crushing effects of inter-generational poverty and genocide. Generations of my Scottish ancestors lie in Kildonan cemetery, and some of them and my Metis relatives fought alongside Louis Riel. I am returning to the land of my people to help plant another seed of a new nation.

In that spirit, let me close with the words of one of my ancestors, Philip Annett, who fought in the ranks of the Republican movement in Upper Canada in 1837. A farmer, a blacksmith, a staunch Baptist who refused to support the church of England with his taxes, Philip Annett summed up the vision and promise of our true Canada when he wrote these words to his ancestors in Wiltshire, England, soon after he took up arms against the British Crown:

“You must all come to Canada whilst you have a chance. Here is an excellent land that can bear any crop. Here you have no rent to pay, no poor rates, and scarcely any taxes. No game keepers or lords over you. Here you can have every good thing. Here is a land of liberty and plenty where we are held in respect by our neighbors. And we aim to keep it so.”

So let us continue the dream, and take back our nation, for all of us, and for our future.

Voting in Canada is Treason:  It’s Time to Take Back our Nation!

This fall, you will be asked to use a ballot to sign away your sovereign authority to a criminal foreign monarch: the so-called Queen of England. Your rulers call this “democracy”. We call it slavery – and an act of treason.

Every Member of Parliament elected must take an Oath of Allegiance to “Queen Elizabeth the Second and her descendants” – not to you or to the laws of Canada. Rather than accountable representatives of your will, you will be electing the sworn servants of a “Crown” that is guilty of centuries of genocide, corruption, theft and fraud against all of the peoples of Canada.  Why hand over your power to such a tyranny?

Canadians are awakening to this wrong. A recent opinion poll showed that nearly 60% of you want to end ties with the British Crown and establish a sovereign Republic in Canada. On January 15, 2015, patriots across our nation acted on that majority mandate and established the legal and political basis for such a Republic. You can now live under the freedom and sovereign jurisdiction of that new nation, which is arising in every region of Canada.

Take the first step towards such liberty by refusing to vote in the fall  election for the corrupt regime in Ottawa. Instead, cast your ballot for the Republic through our alternative voting system and pledge your citizenship to a truly democratic Republic of Kanata under common law. Across Canada, the Republic is creating Peoples’ Assemblies through which you can actively return power to the people through a grassroots Constitutional democracy.

Create a future for yourselves and your children by reclaiming our nation!
